If your login ID ends with '@world.net' then you want SFB1 or SFB1 Extended
If your login ID ends with '@usa' then you want SFB2
If your login ID ends with '@pop.net' or '@dial.net then you want SFB3
If your login ID ends with '@sfb4.net' then you want SFB4
If your login ID ends with '@surf.net' then you want SFB5
If your login ID ends with '@sfb8.net' then you want SFB8
If your login ID ends with '@sfb9.net' then you want SFB9

SFB1 Extended gives access to much of Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

DIRECTIONS:
  • Download your setup utility above
  • Click 'Save the program to disk.' Click OK
  • In 'Save In' choose 'DESKTOP' Click Save
  • Once the download is complete, go to your Desktop (where all of the icons are) and double click SFB1, SFB2, SFB3, SFB4, SFB5, SFB8 or SFB9
  • Click: I agree or I don't agree
  • "Please enter your user name" (This is in your Welcome Email and ALWAYS begins with: sfb

    • "Please enter your password"  (Password is entered twice. Passwords are cAsE sEnSiTiVe.  Click next)
  • "Please enter mail server user name" (This is your SurfBest email address, with '@surfbest.net' on the end) 
  • Choose the EXACT phone number to dial.  (Each number is listed three ways.  Be careful to choose the correct one for your dialing procedures.) Click Next.
  • Do NOT check the box that says 'Use Areacode'  (The areacode is taken care of with the step above.)
  • Do enter any added dialing information you may need. Such as:
  • *70,  (to deactivate call waiting) or 9, (to get an outside line in larger businesses)
  • Click Next
  • "Set this profile as your default internet connection."  We strongly recommend YES.
  • Click OK
  • You will now see a "SurfBest Internet" or similar icon on your desktop
  • Double-click that icon, and your computer will connect to SurfBest
